A sort of pony combining the aspects and magic of pegasi, earth ponies and unicorns in one individual. True alicorns, such as the Princesses of Equestria are very rare and known only in legend. Many so-called alicorns are in fact pegacorns, which are a combination of only pegasus and unicorn traits. (Analogous Earth Unicorns and Earth Pegasi representing the other two combinations of two pony types also exist, but are not so conspicuous as to attract much interest.) Approximately 1 in 20,000 modern ponies is a pegacorn, and similar numbers of earth unicorns and pegasi are assumed. Statistics on the prevalence of true alicorns are unavailable, if any still exist.
