The Ashen Sea is a lowland area West of the [[Isle of Yore]] and East of mainland [[Ponyland]]. Before the [[Catastrophe]], it was a body of saltwater, as implied by the name. It was named for frequent volcanic eruptions during the era of its original exploration by Equine civilization.
