Sangye was the Air Avatar preceding Yangchen.
Aged 46, Sangye became a father for the first and only time, to a daughter named Asa. Asa was later married to the young Earth Monarch and gave him six daughters, who went on to be the founding mothers of the Lugo people.
Sangye died aged 69, in an earthquake while trying to appease an angry earth spirit.
Translator's Note
As with many era names, whether in real life or on Wan Shi Tong's calendar in AtLA, Sangye's era name is difficult to translate. 氲 is a variant of 氳 which is in Mandarin used in the compound 氤氳 "Dense fog", and the translation given by my dictionary is "dense or heavy atmosphere." However, in Japanese Kanji this is used for such meanings (given by translation dictionary) as "life-giving influences of nature", or "spirit of harmony." In both Japanese and Korean, the character is also used for "prosperity." I typically follow the Mandarin Chinese usage when interpreting the phonoideographic characters seen in Avatar, but I deviate from this here on the basis that an Air Avatar is probably not a native of the Earth Kingdom, and considering expanded meanings from the wider Sinosphere would be appropriate. 貞 is more straightforward and means loyal or faithful/chaste.
If you want to think his era name is Pea-Souper Chastity, I don't know if I can help you, but I guess that is equally possible.
