Indigenous species of Pig inhabiting the Isle of Yore and its surrounding islands at the time of its systematic exploration by ponies in the Classical Era. Decimated by disease and tending to engage in destructive wars with each other and the colonists, they went extinct from the Isle of Yore sometime in the late Classical Era, no later than 250 AE. They had previously been extirpated from the Hayminnow Islands by Zebra colonists.
The Boars were said to have been of a very aggressive temperament, dangerous in single combat, but poorly organized and lacking any but the most primitive magic and technology. Regardless, they built several large stone structures (including the propagandistically-named Horsehenge) on the Isle of Yore that have endured for thousands of years.
