This article describes a meta-game concept

As you may know, Fudge Ponies doesn't really have a character
advancement system that has been tested. I'm going to try a few
things.

You're going to get some quantity of character-building points. This
is how they can be spent:

Skills can be improved with CBP, according to the following schedule:
Skill is currently:     Cost in CBP to increase skill by 1:
-2 or worse              1
-1                            2
0                             3
1                             4
2                             5
3                             6
4                             7
n                             n+3


Primary attributes (e.g. STR, MAG) can be improved with CBP according
to the following schedule:
Current value             Cost to raise by 1
-2 or worse                 5
-1                               7
0                                9
1                                11
2                                13
3                                15
4                                 17
n                                  2n+9


These schedules are subject to adjustments for balance in the future.
