Sentient quadruped, socially symbiotic with little ponies. Produces milk and assists in agricultural labor. The nature of the pony-cow relationship, which historically has been rather non-equitable, changed with Emancipation in the late Golden Age before reverting to the former pattern in the Dark Age. Today, most cows are serfs, even in democratic jurisdictions.
