A fungus gnome settlement, quite ancient; its founding in 150 BE is attributed to The Mystic Moochick. It has a small population who enjoy an idyllic life among the pines of the Daverwood, which were protected in the periapocalyptic period by the primal magic of the fungus gnomes. They trade readily with ponies (although they are self-sufficient in necessities). Medicines, magical items and luxury goods are the main exports; imports are tools, finished metal goods, and fine foods. (Fungus gnomes can live on pine nuts and mushrooms alone, but do not usually want to!) The leader of the village is the Reverend Elder Chickrows. A brief period of leadership by the Learned Leatherbean preceded Chickrows' tenure, Leatherbean having taken control from Elder Eastmumsie the Everliving, a noted enchantress, in 3336. The Learned Leatherbean was formerly the senior apothecary and deputy leader but supported his replacement by Reverend Chickrows. Prior to these two successions, there had been no change in the leadership or population of the village in living (pony) memory.
