The Downtown Ward of [[Docktown]] is a region representing part of the old Downtown of Docktown. The other part is the [[Old City Ward of Docktown|Old City Ward]], but the Downtown ward has been inhabited longer and excavated more completely (not to mention reworked more in modern times.) It is notable for its huge pre-catastrophic buildings, a few of which have survived mostly intact and are still used today. Many more collapsed after the Catastrophe, though, sometimes with great loss of life - wariness of the ruins actually resulted in it being less densely populated throughout the Dark Age than the West and Harbor wards.

The City Hall of Docktown was moved to a grand new building in Downtown in 3304, after having been ruled from the West Ward for many years.
