Not to be confused with her great granddaughter Eldritch Lore (the Loremaster). Eldritch was b. 466, a unicorn, government wizard and alchemist, Ensconced Archmage of the Southern Colonies, white with black (later salt-and-pepper grey) mane. As ensconced archmage, she was a hard-nosed and pragmatic jurist who upheld law and order in a notoriously difficult and freewheeling jurisdiction that attracted many magical fugitives and criminals for its low population density.

Her father was Arcane Lore, a unicorn, b. 425, scholar, feudal lord, and later, a feared dark wizard, to his daughter's political embarrassment. They were not on speaking terms. Her paternal grandmother, Draconic Lore, was a unicorn (but a dragon by adoption) born in 392, who was for most of her life an adventuring wizard.

Eldritch's mother was Elixir Vitae, a unicorn zony b. 448, hedge mage. Her fraternal twin sister was Cryptic Lore. She had numerous half-siblings as a result of Arcane Lore's sexual adventures, but only one of these was legitimate, Tenebrific Lore, who inherited the family's feudal holdings.
