The personal qualities named as Kindness, Generosity, Loyalty, Honesty, Laughter and Magic; cultivated by ponies since time immemorial. The term also refers to six powerful and ancient artifacts, which have successfully been harnessed by ponykind for their common defense since no later than the late Classical Period. Unfortunately, they were lost in the Catastrophe (and indeed, some have blamed much of the troubles of the Dark Age on their absence.)

The origin of these artifacts is extremely obscure. Mythologically, they are variously said to have grown on the Tree of Harmony or been forged in the Heart of Ponyland.
