Bluestar the Brilliant
    b. 1997 AE d. 19 Seeds 2835 AE
Unicorns stallion, red eyes, powder blue coat, navy blue mane.
Periapocalyptic wizard whose tower near the Westyore Dam became the focus of a cloistered wizard-state in the Dark Age (2116 AE, C+60y). This state became New Equestria after Bluestar’s death and the collapse of the magical cloister. (2835 AE, P-500y)
Bluestar recovered the corrupted Element of Honesty and, recognizing its corruption but not aware of the means to purify it, he secured it in the Lacustrine Keep he built after the Catastrophe.
Bluestar was very talented with magical life extension.
Bluestar is a descendent of Rosie and Pen Nib’s pegasus form:
    PNxRR -> Red Ink (b. 1833) -> (b. 1871) -> (b.1900) -> (b. 1934) ->
Bluestar the Brave (b. 1962) -> Bluestar the Brilliant (b. 1997)

Star Cluster
    b. 2027 d. 2116
Unicorn mare, lavender coat, pink mane, yellow eyes
A native of the Isle of Yore, Star Cluster attended Eastern Ponyland University (g. 2048) before graduate studies at Canterlot University, where Twilight Sparkle was her thesis advisor (g. 2052). She continued as a post-doctoral fellow under princess Sparkle, researching the magic of Friendship, until the Catastrophe in 2056. Charged with the task of finding the Element of Magic by her dying mentor, fter it was lost in the catastrophe, Star Cluster and the dragon Spike recovered the Element from the Dread Dimensions in 2105, after 49 years of searching. Star Cluster returned to the land of her birth and joined cloistered monastics in the Tower of Chimes, sealing the corrupted Element of Magic in the tower’s reliquary in the hope that future generations would discover the means to purify it.

Fairy Tail
    b. 2051 d. 2110 r. 3300 | Breezie male, purple coat, pink mane, blue eyes.
Last of the Breezies. Died of exposure after being blown into a snag. His remains were kept in a shadowbox by a pony who found his corpse already dessicated by the harsh desert wind. They changed hands many times over the generations before coming into the hooves of Motif Index, a young unicorn scholar, in 3299. He paid Risen Bones to raise Fairy Tail from the dead as a vampire and geas him to stay with Risen Bones. Fairy Tail, despite his name, turned out to have very little knowledge of folklore, being, instead, a very talented but specialized breezie tail stylist. He must perodically drink blood orange juice in order to survive.
Like most breezies, Fairy Tail is a dystheist, believing that only a cruel deity would create a species as fragile as breezies, and obviously they couldn’t possibly have come about by natural selection.
“Plucked from the blissful rapture of the breezy afterlife, from the company of all my great grandbreezies, and put under a geas to follow this fool. Some scholar, can’t even spell worth a cuss.”
“I thought it was a horse pun.”

Motif Index
    b. 3274
Pegasus stallion, grey mane, pale green coat, brown eyes.
A professor emeritus of Eastern Ponyland University, traveling the land collecting folklore with the bitter, sarcastic undead breezie Fairy Tail. Motif Index paid his family fortune to the necromancer Risen Bones to have the desiccated remains of a breezie named Fairy Tail reanimated, hoping to use the creature as an informant on pre-Catastrophic folklore. Unfortunately, he discovered that Fairy Tail was only five years old at the time of the catastrophe, and that he was a hair stylist (specializing strictly in tails), not a storyteller.
Although this was a great setback for him (he refrained from committing suicide at one point strictly to spite Fairy Tail, who would have been released from the geas forcing him to follow and obey Motif Index by the latter’s death), Motif Index persevered and had a successful academic career. He also made up with Fairy Tail to some extent, and the two tolerate each other. Motiff has a townhouse in Docktown, having sold his family’s ancestral lands south of Irongate in 3305 to support himself after he used all his inherited liquid assets to pay Risen Bones.
Professor Index is working on his magnum opus, “a legendarium of the Isle of Yore in the Late Golden Age,” and is visiting New Equestria at the time of the party’s visit there. (Perhaps they will encounter him on his way there after crashing, thereby affording him a chance to regale them with a story over a campfire.) They may encounter him and Fairy Tail again. His work is relevant to one aspect of the MOAP.
“I suppose I do owe something to him; at one point I refrained from committing suicide strictly to keep him from being released from the geas by my death.”

Risen Bones
    b. 3118, lich since 3201. Skeletal; formerly white coat, black mane, red eyes.
earth unicorn.
Dread Necromancer Risen Bones, Lord of Tears. A unicorn lich resident in an old fort / coaling station on the Isle of Tears, he leads a solitary and ageless existence, largely unbothered by anypony else. Though a very able mage, he prefers to defend his territory through minions, as the great tradeoff of being an undead mage in the PRPG universe is the inability to convert mundane metabolic energy into magical energy, and does not wish to drain himself.
Risen Bones leads a life of quiet contemplation on the secrets of the universe, and in particular, how to avoid the transient magipause (zero-crossing) which he has predicted to occur eleven million years in the future.
Risen Bones is available for hire to select (i.e. very wealthy) clientele desiring expert necromantic services delivered with the utmost discretion and competence.

Eastmumsie the Everliving
b. 980 AE
Leader of the fungus gnome village in the Daverwood. Eastmumsie is dying due to the side effects of the spell she cast on the Element of Loyalty, and is expected to name a successor within the next few decades.
Before his death, Wild Strike did everything in his power to ensure that power passed to his only child instead of to the changeling ministers. He sought the council of Eastmumsie the Everliving and received from her the Element of Loyalty, which had been sitting in Eastmumsie’s potato bin since the 25th century. Eastmumsie did this because she distrusts the changelings and sees trenchtown as a resurgence of the paradigm that led to the Catastrophe. Eastmumsie cast a spell to “turn the Element inside out” and make people loyal to the bearer, as well as binding it to the young Train Oil and any future descendents.

    b. 1920
Dark grey unicorn mare with purple and silver mane.
A changeling, and a minor queen of the New Equestrian hive of 106 changelings (the largest by far on the Isle of Yore.) Publicly, an adviser of Queen Meridian (and of her offspring.)
She has looked into the Twisted Element of Honesty, and foreseen the destruction of the crystal forest by ponies wielding the elements of harmony (of course, being corrupted, the element has not given a true impression of what is happening). She would actually like the party to take the element out of the lacustrine fortress and out of New Canterlot, so that it is lost to the scrutiny of non-changelings in the government. The element is warded against manipulation by changelings, like all the Elements of Harmony.

Shadow Veil
    b. 3201
Black pegasus mare with black mane.
The acolyte of Night Shade. Night Shade can’t touch the Element of Honesty, so she had to bring along Shadow Veil to do that. (NS plans to mindrape Shadow Veil afterward to preserve secrecy.)
