In the mists of prehistory (circa 30,000 BE), Equus escaped the Oblation of Worlds because En-Mequnan, the Signifer of En-Netsusep (and his daughter), was fond of the planet and, in particular, of the adorable little ponies she had surreptitiously created there in (cuter) imitation of the Shadhavar whose worship her father had (in his vanity) accepted. When she learned that Equus' star system was demanded as a sacrifice by the Fount of Primordial Chaos, En-Mequnan stole the Sign of En-Netsusep (the sign she carried in the cosmic procession) and ran away, taking also Equus itself. She created the magical sun and moon around Equus to sustain the planet, which was now a rogue planet, and shattered the Sign of En-Netsusep.
