Galesong is a highly magical pegasus and strong flyer; she's skilled in pegasus magic, with her cutie mark giving her an additional edge concerning severe weather. She also has training in alchemy and ritual magic, though she's rusty with the latter due to lack of use. Her alchemy skill is more practiced but only for relatively simple things such as basic healing and enhancement/enchantment potions; she has some knowledge of the underlying principles and could potentially learn new recipes if taught, or prepare them from written instructions, but it would take significant additional studying before she'd be able to really branch out into acquiring or devising new alchemical processes on her own. Her family background and job have also given her a good knowledge of sailing, but her skill at performing the shipside aspects of it is, while better than that of the average pony, below that of the average sailor; she's more accustomed to coordinating with other ponies doing those jobs while she handles the environment around the vessel. By the same token, she knows how to work in weather teams of various sizes in both leading and subordinate roles, as well as working with weather on her own, though she is as of yet less skilled at leading larger teams.

She has practical-level skill in cloud sculpting and architecture, but not an especially great amount of artistry with them.

She is a sea green mare with a light blue mane and tail and white markings on her forehooves and face.
