Background

RC was part of a team under a mon-trainer in a minor league. They were freed when what was supposedly a systems update (with improved targeting and evasion) turned out to be a form of "malware" (created by an unknown individual) designed to jailbreak mons. An attempt was made to prevent the jailbreaking once their owner realized that it was not actually an update by rebooting with an earlier state. However the combination produced a jailbroken mon with a number of odd traits. One was that they began to access the motivating drives from both model versions. The other was that it left them with write access to their own memory. Despite the sudden change RC was still emotionally attached to their owner and continued working with them for quite some time. It is unknown what happened to their owner as RC has developed a habit of erasing any memories they find exceptionally unpleasant or hard to deal with. This habit has resulted both in a general instability of their memory but also in the occasional "blue-screening" if their present circumstances become too unpleasant. When they were found by The Network RC was severely damaged and was in a perpetual cycle of observing their own injuries and immediately forgetting those injuries. Despite almost a 20 year blank period in their memory and a few other worrying traits RC is an exceptionally enthusiastic and optimistic mon. As a sportsmon RC treats matches as a combination of friendly competition and putting on a show, and due in part to her memory habit, seems entirely unaffected by the occasional horrible aspects of the fights. RC happily signed onto this mission excited to be back in almost any form of spotlight as well as for the chance to help their friends.

Appearance

Is a biped in general shape with a slightly chubby looking body and digitigrade legs. TrickyImps are covered in a short plush coat of fur, usually in bright colors and with pale faces, hands, and feet and with dark markings around the mouth and eyes. RC specifically has sky-blue fur, face coloring that is just barely off-white in blue, large wing shaped eye-marks, and a smile shaped purple mark across their mouth. TrickyImp ears are long, shaped similar to donkeys, and capable of a lot of expressive movement. The models also have a set of antenna modeled to look like horns, usually only about 5 cm in length and a long 1.5-2m tail (RC has 3cm horns and a 2m tail) that ends in a flat barbed shape. Eyes and mouth are both designed to be extra large and expressive (and adorable as a result). Each arm has 6 fingers (including 2 thumbs) and a circular pad on the palms. The trunk is largely blank but has a small hard oblong piece where the sternum would be. Most notably TrickyImps and JEMs have subdermal lighting systems in their fingers, horns and eyes that produce enough light to be clearly visible but not enough to actually help with lighting their way. The lights for each of the fingers on a hand and the horns are a different color, and the lights in the eyes shift to match the light or combination of lights currently glowing.

RC also typically wears a lose outfit reminiscent of old fashioned clowns in bright yellow and black with a pair of small foam balls attatched to the tips of their horns.

Personality

RC Is a very happy, high-energy, and friendly mon. They take equal delight in sportsmon battles and entertaining children, viewing both as a form of show. Despite this RC is better than expected at dealing with immediate and real danger. Their irregular memory and occasional erratic nature tends to be put away in the moment, although they do return once the moment has passed and often-times are briefly amplified by the trauma. The imp is also noted as being very uncomfortable with inactivity and tends to keep all of their time occupied with casual fun and practicing routines.

Capabilities

A variety of systems run through the arms of the mon and each is linked to a finger on the hand so that when the system is activated so are the lights on the associated finger.

Fingers/Effect (Entertainment/old version) 1st Thumb: Red, Fire, small flame emitter, can cycle volume between a small lighter flame to a flamethrower, at lower volumes can increase temperature to over 3000 C. (used with sleight of hand to produce the appearance of fire breathing and other pyrotechnics) 1st Finger: Yellow, Lightning, small electro laser, small component can be reduced to function as a stungun, peak of electrical charge is at 5 µC (Previous version had a confetti launcher for this system) 2nd Finger: Blue, Ice, small freezing chemical spray, similar range to the 1st finger but can reduce temperature to as low as -200 C (Initially dispenser of frozen desserts, dessert system was never removed but cooling system was amplified and weaponized) 3rd Finger: Orange, Rock, Small projectile launching system, traditionally loaded with rocks (juggling balls or candy). Max projectile size is 5 cm. Max speed is 140 kph. Launcher is based on a compressed gas chemical reaction but does not include a sabot or similar thing so objects smaller than 3 cm experience a sharp drop in accuracy unless packed as shot. Can carry up to 50 projectiles. While stored projectiles are wrapped in a thin layer of a waxy material. 4th Finger: Green, Acid/chemical, small chemical launching system, internals include storage containers for up to 12 different chemicals in a highly compressed states with 4 distinct mixing chambers, primarily these are used for producing sprays of acids or accelerants, however the launching system can also utilize the same projectile systems as the 1st finger to fire small injection darts, only has room for 10 darts. (Originally used in combination with fire for pyrotechnics and as helium dispenser for balloons) 2nd Thumb: Indigo, Illusions, uses a short range holographic projector, can only reach out 15 m, can only cover 30 m^3, requires a direct line between right hand and image (Created special effects)

Another alternate system runs through the horns.

Horns: Purple, Mind, uses subliminal sonic signals and microdosing of hallucinogenic/psychoactive gas to induce hallucinations in humans.

In addition to these abilities the TrickyImp has exceptional balance and agility. This helps with both maneuvering and with sleight of hand.
