The Aelian States, a theocracy under the paramount leadership of the Patriarch of Pustile, consists of the states of

[[PM/State of West Merilet|West Merilet]],
[[PM/State of the Tramontane|The Tramontane]],
[[PM/Grand Duchy of Fenhom|The Grand Duchy of Fenhom]],
[[PM/State of Derile|Derile]],
[[PM/State of Pernane|Pernane]],
[[PM/State of Chotile|Chotile]], and
[[PM/State of Molet|Molet]].

The government of the Aelian states also controls the [[PM/Nearer Conquests|Nearer Conquests]], taken from continental states not supporting the [[PM/Presently Guided Temple|Presently Guided Temple]] and the [[PM/Aelian Conquests|Aelian Conquests]], taken from polytheistic peoples in the East.

The [[PM/Free Tramontane|Free Tramontane]] was formerly part of the Aelian State of the Tramontane, but it separated from that state during the Second Aelian War, with support from the enemies of the Illuminant.
