The Aelian States, a theocracy under the paramount leadership of the Patriarch of Pustile, consists of the states of Pustile, Merilet, West Merilet, The Tramontane, The Grand Duchy of Fenhom, Derile, Pernane, Chotile, and Molet.
The government of the Aelian states also controls the Nearer Conquests, taken from continental states not supporting the Presently Guided Temple and the Aelian Conquests, taken from polytheistic peoples in the East.
The Free Tramontane was formerly part of the Aelian State of the Tramontane, but it separated from that state during the Second Aelian War, with support from the enemies of the Illuminant.
