Jiseenri Murinabaq (né Sailabaq) Raō [dzi.se'ʔe.ɳi mu.ri'na.baq 'ra.ʔoː] (1677 PD-present) is the Grand Vizier of the Murinal Empire, the head of government of the Imperial state.
Early Life
Arema Thrunēbi Xaminphe Jiseenri Murinabaq Raō ("The Learned Jiseenr from Murinabaq, the First Reward of Filial Piety") is the eldest son of Gosama Thrunēbi Xaminphe Masendaji Sailabaq, a wealthy merchant of the Khamanian Dominion. Masendaj, besides his expansive mercantile business, was also nasrebāt ("mayor") of Sailibaq and a tax farmer for the Empire. As the previous tax collector had been monstrously corrupt, Masendaj was actually well-liked for his fairness, and his popularity later helped launch his son's political career. Jiseenr's mother Asōdi was an Ardamarite scribe and calligrapher from Thresezrar, though she converted to the Orthodox Twofold Way before his birth. She taught him to read and write at a very early age.
Jiseenr received an excellent education, and had the opportunity to occasionally accompany caravans from the Empire to distant points in the Tributary States, South Bel, and the Eastern Throne. During these journeys, he kept extensive journals, to demonstrate his attentiveness to his father. Jiseenr quickly established a reputation as a good negotiator; he also inherited his father's skill of noticing the talents of others. After an education in the capital, befitting the eldest son of an upwardly mobile provincial, he return to Sailabaq. However, he soon returned to the capital, handling the family business interests there and making Murinabaq his principle residence. In 1702, Masendaj died, leaving the vast family business to Jiseenr. Jiseenr remained mostly in the capital, having entered the Imperial Court; he left his uncle in charge of daily business in Sailabaq.
Ascent to Power
Grand Vizirate
Personality
Family
Jiseenr has two daughters, Kemi and Matia, and several grandchildren by them. His succession as Grand Vizier is, unfortunately, fraught; In the Murinal Imperial Court, it is said that even the enemies of Jiseenr pray for his health, fearing the consequences of a struggle for the vizierate. Significant factions of grandees support his daughter Kemi, his son-in-law (Matia's husband) Nasēdin, or his grandson Masendaj (the younger)
