The Maritimes are a group of culturally and linguistically related states mostly based on islands and coastal territories on the southern shore of the Northern Continent. Their relations have been peaceful in recent years, largely due to the external pressure of the Second Illuminant; they have occasionally fought each other over economic issues.

The Maritimes are the Kingdom of Nientile, the Duchy of Mete, the Republic of Minte, the Republic of Pelile, the Principality of Valstile, the Principality of Egone, the Republic of Aintou, the Principality of Lurul, the Principality of Choveret and the Principality of West Choveret. The Grand Duchy of Fenhom is one of the Maritimes, but is politically aligned with the Patriarch of Pustile. The Kingdom of Heghom is sometimes considered one of the Maritimes.
