The Maritimes are a group of culturally and linguistically related states mostly based on islands and coastal territories on the southern shore of the Northern Continent. Their relations have been peaceful in recent years, largely due to the external pressure of the Second Illuminant; they have occasionally fought each other over economic issues. 

The Maritimes are [[PM/Kingdom of Nientile|the Kingdom of Nientile]], the [[PM/Duchy of Mete|Duchy of Mete]], the [[PM/Republic of Minte|Republic of Minte]], [[PM/Republic of Pelile|the Republic of Pelile]], the [[PM/Principality of Valstile|Principality of Valstile]], the [[PM/Principality of Egone|Principality of Egone]], the [[PM/Republic of Aintou|Republic of Aintou]], the [[PM/Principality of Lurul|Principality of Lurul]], the [[PM/Principality of Choveret|Principality of Choveret]] and the [[PM/Principality of West Choveret|Principality of West Choveret]]. The [[PM/Grand Duchy of Fenhom|Grand Duchy of Fenhom]] is one of the Maritimes, but is politically aligned with the Patriarch of Pustile. The [[PM/Kingdom of Heghom|Kingdom of Heghom]] is sometimes considered one of the Maritimes.
