Major Quests

  • The Elements of Harmony

    • With each discovered, we can return to New Canterlot for a reward.
    • The elements have been tainted, for some reason. Honesty gave grim visions of the future, which may or may not have been true, to anyone that focused on it until Akasha somehow purified it.
    • Honesty found: Akasha. When the element was purified by her, she saw a pony (Ivy, but with the wrong eyes) floating and burning the land. Then the pony disappeared and the land was healed.
    • Changelings are considered enemies of Harmony and are now being hunted by the party in order to try and find the other elements. A weak lead, but a lead none-the-less.
  • Catastrophe (I THINK this is a quest... maybe to figure out what happened? I dunno.)

    • A breezy named Fairy Tale mentioned it was caused by a nine-headed dragon.
    • Shadow said something about Changelings having to do with the end of the Golden Age, and that dragons must guard against it happening again, being changelings' sworn enemies.
  • Rings of Goldpin

    • Goldpin, an earth pony unicorn, had his horn rings stolen by a red unicorn, zebra and four-armed monkey. He has offered a reward for their recovery.
    • He has a changeling for a marefriend and second in command currently going by the name "Sneaky Skies" and always in the form of a pegasus mare.
    • Rock Hard is his third in command and potential rival.
    • From a bulletin board in Fort Junechase: "7500 NEB REWARD for information leading to the capture of the bandit ringleader Goldpin. (A drawing of him is shown.) Wanted for banditry, artifact theft, and racketeering." Ergo, until he is captured, we can't collect the bounty.
    • The party's current plan is to spread rumors that Rock Hard wants to overthrow his ring-less leader, then roofie Goldpin's guards and daterape them with whores, which will make the kingpin and his third-in-command fight each other, leaving them open to our own attack.
    • Oh, and Cold Spell's joining Goldpin's crew so that we have an inside mare. Probably a good place for the elements of harmony to spread discord.
  • The Noblest of Heretics

    • From a bulletin board in Fort Junechase: "5000 NEB REWARD for the capture of this unicorn. (There is a picture of a white unicorn mare with a purplish-red mane and eyes.) Twisted Twinkle, aliases "Millennial Dawn", "Truthful Twinkle," "The Prophetess of Witch Point." Wanted for fraud, aggravated heresy and and using false papers of nobility."
    • Paradise Dreams was one of her followers, now in custody at Fort Junechase. She claims she was punished by Dawn and requests she mention her, the "furry harbringer", and her efforts to "redeem" Cherry, the town she was attacking with squirrels from another dimension.
    • Per Paradise, Twinkle's currently in Docktown.
  • Water's Will

    • The recently-departed mayor of the Old Fairgrounds left a substantial bounty to whoever can retrieve some possessions of hers from some cultists in the Dusty Mountains... the House of the Watcher on High.
    • The town constable, Ace Paragon, is a liar and/or fool, albeit a very shiny one. Might not be related, but perhaps mentionable.

Minor Quests

  • Dusty Heights in Semaphore

    • Investigate the abandoned semaphore communications line.
  • Slag Rot Pariah

    • A Slag Hollow merchant told us Hoofrot sufferers are unsympathetically barred from New Canterlot. Maybe we could convince the government to offer them aid?
  • The Astrolabe of Ephemeris (alternatively "The Stars Will Aid")

    • Currently active with Akasha as the bearer of the curse. Can the curse be broken? Could the Astrolabe be used for good? Or can the artifact only be rid of or destroyed?
    • It likes to create fruit and responds to a person's likeness as if they were the person themselves.
    • It has a severely negative reaction toward Ephemeris, chopping up her image while laughing evilly.
    • It has a relatively positive reaction toward Daystar, causing it to stop pelting people with fruit and, instead, give it to them more nicely, as well as brush manes.
    • It's suspected Star Paragon, Ephemeris' son, might have been involved in the cursing of the artifact. The image of Star Paragon should be made to interact with the Astrolabe when it's next found.
  • Mystery Box

    • The message on the dead griffin courier was translated, but what does it mean?
    • The box is a "Null Box", capable of neutralizing any magical activity placed within it once the lid is shut.
    • It was headed for someone named Ruby.
    • It was to be used to contain what "they" were using for divination.
    • It was to be returned to White Eyes in Oatwheel, the apprentice to whoever sent the box.
    • It was NOT to be transported by Aeropony.
    • Its combination is 22 22 22 22 22
  • Revenge on Risen Bones

    • Fairy Tail, last of the Breezies (undead or not), wishes the party to avenge him on the necromancer Risen Bones, on an island somewhere Northeast of Nevershyed.
  • Legend of the Seaponies

    • Scarlet found seapony bones in Lacustrine Keep.
    • The party found a book detailing that Honesty was recovered from the lake by seaponies.
    • The party has been given a figurine of a seapony that has an unknown magic about it. Its inscription reads " ELDRITCH LORE, MATER MAGNA". It is currently held by Cold Spell.
    • Cold Spell found out it comes from some haunted seapony ruins and the figure depicts their goddess.
  • There's Always More Bandits

    • From a bulletin board in Fort Junechase: " BANDITS - beware of increased bandit activity in Hackmore Parish. The central government is taking steps to contain criminal activity. Do your part by not traveling alone or by night. Merchants with valuable goods should join caravans, which will leave twice weekly on Loyalty and Magic. (A note is written in different hornwriting: "if guards are available for escorts.")"
    • This could, of course, be related to Goldpin or his rivals, the ones that stole his rings, but no connection has been established as of yet.
  • Conflict Veggies

    • The party had some fresh veggies in Mound that had arrow holes through them. Ergo, bandit raids are being made on local farmers in the fallout to New Canterlot's attack. We could probably stand to try and stop that and/or use these attacks to spur local farmers into supporting us in conflicts against the bandits.

  • Djinn – From the log, "The discussion in the mess hall turns towards the problem of the djinn"? I can't seem to find what this is referring to.

  • Royal Obelisks – Fort Jonechase has a large granite obelisk in it whose description reads "The monument inscription reads: This monument is located 5° 36' 4.1112" North of the equator and 145° 17' 34.4796" East of the Royal Observatory in Canterlot. It is elevated 512m above the mean level of the seas. This monument was placed on the order of Princess Luna by the Royal Equestrian Corps of Surveyors, 7th Sea of Dreams Expedition, in the 287th year of Equestria, month of Corn, 3rd day. Its position was fixed astronomically 26 minutes past the 6th hour of the night. Whosoever finds this monument in disrepair and sets it right and true shall be rewarded, but whoever molests it shall be cursed and driven from all the land that is under the stars." It'd be worth determining if it IS unaligned, if only to see if the blessing is true upon fixing it.

  • What is this "nylon" you speak of? – Akasha obtained a medallion from Lacustrine Keep. It has "KINGSLEY XI REGINA LEONUM" on it with a lion, and is tied to a piece of nylon, a cloth whose manufacture is a lost art. As it was discovered around seapony bones, it MAY have something to do with them.

  • Unusual Patronage – Ivy discovered that Red Balloons, a Trenchtown officer, paid a substantial sum to the Household of Paragon Peel.

  • Wysteria's Treacheria – In the aftermath of the changeling attack Secret Sigil, director of the Bureau of * Magical Affairs, attempted to calm crowds to prevent a riot. Wysteria used the situation to accuse him of being a changeling sympathizer and arrested him. She now makes up half of Princess Nightfall's temporary cabinet alongside Captain Sparkle. This, like so many things, could not possibly backfire.

  • "Supercharged Healing" – Discolor has, in her possession, an elixir of incredible healing power but (I think) unknown origin. It's said to be able to bring someone back from the brink of death. A worthwhile magic to learn and, particularly, to replicate.

  • Obscure Literature – The party has received a book of magic (taken from a dead mage) written in an unknown language, currently in Akasha's possession.

  • One More Light – The party has a small bauble with a fuelless flame inside it (taken from a cultist who was proselytizing, so this MAY be connected to Millennial Dawn), currently carried by Emerald.

  • Blessed Bushwoolie of Ephemeris - a big (nearly life-size) hairy blue ball of a creature. It's pretty magical, but not earth-shatteringly so. Gabrio's put a mask on it. It might be interesting to see if the plushie would interact with the Astrolabe of Ephemeris, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

  • Odd Plants – Akasha found a mushroom she can't identify. It's blue with a pink stripe on its annulus and a crimson volva. Per Ivy, our agricultural expert, this indicates it didn't use enough lube when fornicating.

  • The Grim Princess – Under the "Temple of the Undying Sun" was a depiction of a skeletal alicorn in a black robe. Is this another god, or simply symbolic? While the idea of a dead god dancing with nobles and peasants jibes with the inscription of "IN DEATH, ALL ARE EQUAL.", it does NOT jibe with the temple itself, IE the UNDYING sun.

  • Antimagic Mirrors – Why were there anti-magic mirrors protecting the key to the service door for the cellar of the Temple of the Undying Sun? And why did the service door require such a fancy key? Does it matter? No. Is it still a curiosity, though? Vaguely. I suppose the same could have been said for the golem if it weren't for the fact that it was the only means via which to access anything beyond the mirrors (thus making its purpose in the temple pretty clear).

Party member-specific quests

  • Hidden Kindness – Discolor still refuses to openly speak about her past.

  • A Tale of Two Gabrios – Gabrio and The Great Gabrio are two different people. Definitely.

  • Cold Tears – Coldspell is hiding... something. She and Discolor spent a night together, during which Cold cried a lot.

  • These Stripes Run (early and often!) – Akasha sucks at fighting. She figures she's cursed, but doesn't know how to fix it.

  • The Reluctant Vampire – Scarlet Fever is dead, but her spirit still haunts Fuchsia. Coldspell might be able to bring Scarlet back to life, though.

  • Yup, that's a changeling. – Emerald is trying to learn how to detect changelings. Because it'd be nice to have more than one party member consistently capable of the feat.

Completed Quests (a very incomplete list)

  • Jaded – Jade Jubilee's body was returned to her father.

  • Pickpocketrocket – Sugar's pickpocket was tracked down.

  • The Madness of Queen Nightfall – Princess Nightfall was cured by Honesty.

  • Changelings! – The changelings have been dislodged from New Canterlot, though not without heavy losses to its populous and political structure.

  • Wanted but Not Desired – The bounty of Emerald's head was cleared. Ivy, however, is still on the run.

  • When a Princess Calls – We met with Princess Nightfall, eventually, and learned why she sent the letters. Some bad, prophetic dreams.
