A sort of sentient quadruped, represented in history by [[Boar]]s and domestic pigs. As ponies have been mostly vegetarian throughout their history, it is unclear why they were [[MLPWiki:Animals#Pig|common on farms in the past.]] Probably they served as unfree farm workers with an extremely undemanding diet; although mammals, their production of milk is not good compared to [[Cow]]s. Pigs are not common on the [[Isle of Yore]] and its surroundings. Pigs were also noted for their talent in finding truffles when good forests were common on Equus.
