An ancient, ruined city in what is now the [[Nameless Desert]] in the former territory of the [[Kingdom of Ponyland]]. It was abandoned by the [[Classical Period]]. It was once the capital of the nation of Ponylonia, one of the first great pony civilizations in the early Pre-Classical era. Ponylon itself was inhabited from ca. 1700 - 450 BE. The great mathemetician [[Fillitas]] flourished there late in its history. Ponylonia is thought to have fallen to strife following the desertification of much of its territory. 

In [[New Ponylon]] is built nearby in the 35th century, not in the ruins of ancient Ponylon, to avoid disturbing the ruins.
