The extent of what exactly she can fix is a little ambiguous. Mostly it's embarrassing or difficult personal problems, supposedly. Got in a pickle and need to leave town fast and real quiet-like? She might be able to arrange that, for a price. Need someone else to "leave town" quietly? Well, that's a bit out of her wheelhouse, but she might know a pro who specializes in that sort of thing - she can introduce you, maybe. Also for a price, of course. Why start working for a private investigator? Because sometimes for private detective outfits, people who know how to fix things are useful, and being retained for being useful comes with a regular paycheck that freelancing can't always guarantee.
