| The party met the drivers whose truck was stolen in a diner in East County, and were told the empty truck had been found and returned to the adjacent motel. The investigators found tracks belonging to a possum inside the back of the truck, and were told of the Lechamp family. Who were opossums, had a bitter fued with the deceased Duke clan, and lived next to where the truckers were robbed. They then met with Daisy-Mae Lechamp, who implicated herself in the death of the Dukes, and informed the group of the county's history with alcohol smuggling during Prohibition, partially conducted through the coastal lighthouse. Meeting with the keeper of that lighthouse, he elaborated on the criminal history of area, and how the Dukes had murdered Daisy's family on the orders of Arthur Schutz, a major bootlegger nicknamed the "Beer Baron". On the drive back, the party found Daisy-Mae along the road at the spot where the truck had been recovered, searching for it. They were then ambushed by Schutz and the truck drivers, but managed to turn the tables. Allowing Daisy-Mae to avenge herself on her family's killer. |

| The final shot of the movie proved to be quite literal, as the male lead Claude accidentally killed actress Blondie McBride. The team interrogated studio head Jack Wolfowitz, who admitted to being jealous of the relationship the two actors had, who were getting married. Claude proved uncooperative due to shock and remorse during the investigation. Wilbur's key to the prop department had gone missing. The party found the ring with which Claude had proposed to Blondie in her coat, along with a letter in which she broke ties was a woman named Virginia Mercante, who Coco informed them was her old ballet teacher. Searching Claude's dressing room turned up his contact list, insinuating a relationship with an older man, and that his engagement to Blondie was a lavender marriage. Forensic evidence taken from the revolver revealed a single hollow point bullet had been swapped in for the blanks to ensure a fatal wound, and it was checked for fingerprints. The prints matched those of Wolfowitz. Before the RIS could arrest Jack however, Claude seized the unloaded gun and goaded Jack into attacking, leading to the detectives shooting the studio boss dead. It was revealed that Wolfowitz had wanted to get rid of Blondie for leaving him and the studio while framing Claude so he could fire the closeted homosexual actor in the ensuing controversy before his orientation could become public knowledge. |

This page contains spoilers for already-played RIS sessions.
Season 1
S1E1 A Straightforward Job [R] |
Coco, Elly, Garnet, Lunette |
The RIS protects Chief Belka's friend from the "Radio Factory," Professor Reeves, during a demonstration of his electronic memory invention. |
A corporate spy tried to blow up the demo to investors, and a foreign communist agent who was actually trying to protect Reeves got into a shootout with the RIS in the confusion and was killed. The bomb went off and destroyed part of the Aerodyne Club where the meeting was being held. Iggie was there seducing one of her father's employees in front of the newspapers. The party got blood all over a vehicle from the RIS motor pool. However, Reeves survived and held a most-successful pitch meeting, so the mission was accomplished.
S1E2 The Airship Assassin |
Coco, Elly, Garnet, Oleander |
While the RIS is executing a search warrant concerning embezzlement by the Duke of Leutoria aboard the airship Liberty, an unexpected crisis arises... |
Anarchists attacked the airship, and the RIS fought them successfully. Their vehicle did get set on fire with a flare gun that was meant for the airship. The warrant was served on the duke, who survived, evidencing how much the plot went off the rails.
S1E3 The Cinema Spectral |
Buster, Coco, Garnet, Lunette, Oleander |
Bowman's Haldari Theater is to show an exceptionally frightening film of supernatural horror. However, the reels of film have been stolen. The RIS is engaged to recover them. |
The film was stolen by a disgruntled former employee of the theater, and recovered by the party. The party's vehicle was splashed with red paint as a result of an unrelated labor dispute. The criminal was notably dumb in this one.
S1E4 A Family Matter [C] |
Part 1: RIS 2024-10-19, RIS 2024-10-19 OOB-1 Part 2: RIS 2024-10-26 |
Coco, Elly, Enrique, Garnet, Lunette |
The patriarch of the Camberline Family, Jules, has recently deceased. RIS is hired by his estate to retrieve his body from rogue family members who do not wish to respect his final wishes. |
The corpse was being mummified, and a relative, Pompeius Alexander Gambhir-Lam, took it and was keeping it in his basement. The RIS took it back and returned it to their clients. There was a scene with Garnet and Lunette in a tunnel which I thought was really spooky and atmospheric.
S1E5 The Mystery of the Missing Metro [N] |
Coco, Garnet, Rizzo |
An entire subway train has gone missing. The Simha Rapid Transit Company is very puzzled by how this was possible, and its insurers have engaged RIS to investigate. |
The mystery was not fully solved, but it seems that the train was taken as part of some government coverup relating to the National Laboratory. The party's actions supposedly led to the train being found... or at least the railroad being compensated generously for saying it had been found. (Spoilers for subsequent episode) - It seems likely based on future events involving the laboratory that the train was contaminated with some radioactive material.
S1E6 A Reel Crisis |
Garnet, Hanna, Rizzo |
Detective Coco has gone missing, and there are valid concerns for her safety and the RIS. (Scenario by CD) |
Coco got kidnapped by a blackmailer she'd had a previous relationship with. The party rescues her.
S1E7 Red in Tooth and Claw [C] |
Part 1: RIS 2025-02-22, RIS 2025-02-22 OOB-1 Part 2: RIS 2025-02-23, RIS 2025-02-23 OOB-1 |
Buster, Coco, Garnet, Oleander, Rizzo |
A ritual murder at a social event attended by the elite of the city, and a public prosecutor with something to prove... |
An eccentric former transport minister hires the RIS to provide event security at his seance, but is apparently murdered, and Iggie Camberline is clumsily framed for the crime (and nearly murdered herself). The RIS unravels an overcomplicated plot by the minister to fake his own death and flee the country, but he commits suicide after being trapped.
S1E8 The Baron of East County |
Part 1: RIS 2025-03-22 Part 2: RIS 2025-03-23 |
Garnet, Hanna, Lunette, Rizzo, Zeke |
The RIS has been hired by the Baron Beer Brewery to investigate a string of incidents hitting their operations in the largely rural and underdeveloped East County. (Scenario by Jelle) |
S1E9 A Snoop-Job on the Star of Haldar |
Part 1: RIS 2025-04-19 Part 2: RIS 2025-04-26 |
Coco, Garnet, Lunette, Rizzo |
What better place for a high-class rendezvous than a luxury long-distance train? Keep all your receipts. |
S1E10 Shot on Film |
Garnet, Hanna, Lunette, Rizzo |
The RIS are invited by Wilbur Porter to the final shooting and wrap party of their latest movie, and to discuss a security contract with the studio. But when things go wrong, the team find themselves investigating an accident. (Scenario by Jelle) |
Coco, Enrique, Garnet, Lunette, Rizzo |
The IOHM is a benevolent organization for stationary engineers and heating technicians, and that's all, right? But money is money and so the RIS will investigate... |
S2E2 East County Burning |
Enrique, Garnet, Hanna, Lennart |
An insurance company has hired the RIS to investigate a claim by the owner of a diner in East County. The suggestion that arson was involved wouldn't have been very noteworthy, were it not for the people involved. (Scenario by CD) |
S2E3 With Awe and Trembling [P] |
