The Red River Barony is one of an independent water barony of the Eastern Dusts. It is ruled by Red Baron IX, Lord of the Red Manor. Like the other water baronies, it developed in the 28th and subsequent centuries, reaching the zenith of its power shortly before the irrigation monopoly of the water lords was broken by improved well-drilling technologies.
