The Red River Barony is an [[Independent Barony|independent]] [[Water Lords|water barony]] of the [[Eastern Dusts]]. It is ruled by [[Red Baron IX]], [[Lord of the Red Manor]]. Like the other water baronies, it  developed in the [[28th Century AE|28th]] and subsequent centuries, reaching the zenith of its power shortly before the [[irrigation]] monopoly of the water lords was broken by improved well-drilling technologies.
