<> ||||Relatives of Revolution Rosie|| ||Mother||Holly|| ||Father||Bush|| ||House||Prickles|| ||||Siblings:|| ||||Briar, Thorn, Bramble, Ivy|| ||||Issue:|| ||||Red Ink|| Revolution Rosie was a white unicorn mare with brown mane and tail. Her eyes were red and her cutie mark a yellow magic wand and sickle. She usually wore a red beret to cover her horn, as she identified as an earth pony and was reluctant to accept her birth race. She was the founder of Ponyism and held great distaste for monarchy and Princess Celestia. Foalhood Rosie was born as an only unicorn on an all-earth pony family. Worried about what her race implied about her mother's fidelity, she was hidden from other townsponies and rarily allowed to leave the farm where she grew up with her traditionalist family. She came to resent her parents, and most of all Princess Celestia, whom her parents worshipped. She ran away from home at the age of 18 after she had revealed her race to the other villagers in an accident that got her her cutie mark, for which she was grounded by her parents. Ponyist Activist Running off to Vanhoover, Rosie enrolled into Manebridge University where she specialized in Political Science, Economics and Equestrian History. Surviving on university aid programs, student loans, hard work and gifts sent by her parents, Rosie managed to graduate as well as develop her own political philosophy. Still blaming Princess Celestia for her personal troubles, she advocated a return to the Classical Age when unicorns would move the sun and moon, the abolition of the monarchy and nobility, full economic equality and democratic government. Her revolutionary struggle emphasized the overthrow of the 'horseoisie' by the 'ponytariat' and was called Ponyism. Despite attempts by her parents to get back in touch and make amends in letters that expressed their concern for her situation and wellbeing, Rosie stubbornly refused to give them any sign she was in fact still alive and well as she devoted all her time to converting ponies to her revolutionary ideals. Pebble During her travels across Equestria she found employment at the Pebble district heating plant under Firebug. She became involved in her plot to twart the mayor. She also met Pen Nib, the mayor's secretary. Taking advantage of Rosie's naivety on sex, Pen Nib seduced her after the mare discovered she was a fillyfooler. She went on a teambuilding exercise with Firebug's group, from which she returned with a broken leg after being bitten by a Kelpie, jumping off a tor, and having a hydra tooth fall on it. After recovering in the hospital, Rosie was ecstatic to learn Pen Nib was starting to develop feelings for her and they started dating. Firebug sent her to negotiate a lower fuel price from the town's lumberjacks, at which Rosie was succesfull. Arcane Helix Soon after her negotiations, a massive explosion engulfed the woods near Pebble which Rosie only survived with Pen Nib's help. Investigating, they found a giant tower had appeared out of nowhere, and that Wiggles and Epona had been captured by strange draconian creatures. Making their way inside, they linked up with Firebug and Shady Jay and were escorted to General Full Plate by a group of slime ponies. They learned of the Arcane Helix's history before a rainbow beam enveloped the structure and they were knocked unconscious by the blast. Dread Dimension Waking up, Rosie found herself trapped in the Dread Dimensions where the helix had lingered for ages. Her group set out to find a way home for themselves and the slime ponies, and deal with the various groups inside the Arcane Helix. During this time, Rosie was able to correctly guess that Pen Nib was secretly a changeling. Uncovering the helix's secrets as they went, they found a settlement inhabited by Shadhavar native to the Dread Dimensions. When Wiggles was offered the opportunity to learn Shadhavar magic by being given a hornstar, Rosie saw a chance to overcome her own lack of unicorn magic and insecurities about her race and challenged Wiggles for the right to be gifted a hornstar. Instead, the fight was interupted by Epona. While visiting the Shadhavar temple to En-Netsusep, Rosie is taken asside by the priestess and told that En-Netsusep sees a great darkness in her future. He offers to give her the knowledge of the movement of sun and moon and magical potency to be a powerful unicorn mage. She readily accepts in the hopes of usurping Princess Celestia, but discovers her special talent to enhance unicorn magic in groups has been replaced by this new power. Travelling further, she finds herself in the Loremaster's chambers where they meet with Dissonant Continuity, who turns out to be a draconequis who plays a trick on the group while they sleep, making them fight a battle of capture the flag. Rosie's team wins, and after meeting the trickster's final challenge, the group is given the chance to wish for whatever the draconequis can grant them. Rosie uses her wish to have what she could not normally have with Pen Nib; a foal. Dissonant Continuity impregnates her with her marefriend's foal. Return Home After finding the former Archmage sent to defeat the helix's Loremaster Eldritch Lore, the party defeats the now undead, vengeful lich. At the celebration feast held by the Shadhavar, Rosie goes into labour and after the arduous process of foalbirth, she welcomes into the world her child, Red Ink. After taking the time to recover from her exhausting ordeal and caring for her newborn, Rosie travels to the Windy Castle with an entourage of Shadhavar and the Equestrian slime ponies. The party fights a swarm of telepathic flying worms and is granted the divine intervention of En-Bequ'avar through prayer by Firebug, who has converted to the firegod's cult to overcome her magic blindness. Pen Nib is greatly disturbed, being a changeling and having a telepathic connection to her hive mind. At her behest, Rosie visits the temple of En-Netsusep in the Windy Castle to ask the priestess if the god of forthrightness can undo the effect on Pen Nib. She makes Rosie enter a meditative trance in which she communes directly with the god. En-Netsusep is willing to undo the alteration to Pen Nib's mind, but unwilling to take something for nothing, Rosie offers herself up to become his new priestess to seal the agreement. He accepts, and Rosie is initiated into the temple. Pen Nib is angry that Rosie invited an alien deity to make her his disciple, but Rosie assures her marefriend she can leave the temple if it ever proves to be a conflict of interest with Pen Nib's hive. Soon after, Rosie returns to Equestria with the rest of her party by means of a portal summoned by Bone Borer. She makes her plans for the future, marrying Pen Nib, raising Red Ink, spreading belief in En-Netsusep in Equestria, and continues her political activism in a somewhat less disruptive manner so as not to upset her new family life. Rosie overcomes her pride and visits her parents, but though they have come to admit they raised her wrong and accept her now, they are unhappy to learn of Rosie's sexuality, choice of spouse, and out-of-wedlock son. Overwhelmed by all the drastic changes in her life, they disown Rosie and they never reconcile. It is probable that Rosie would eventually run for the position of mayor of Pebble and is transformed into a changeling to join her wife in the hive mind. CategoryUnicorns CategoryCharacters
