Although peaceable by nature, some ponies have begrudgingly begun to use weapons for defense against the sometimes-hostile creatures of the post-Catastrophe world. Although the 34th Century AE is a time of relative peace between ponies, there are also unfortunate examples of strongly disharmonious and acquisitive ponies who seek to part travelers from their valuables. Relations with other sentient species are variable, and even the most diplomatic of pony settlements must be prepared for occasional failures of negotiation with them.
