A network of tributary rivers and streams that drain the Yore Mountains and Western plains into the Great Western River, which subsequently drains into the Ocean of Dreams.
Many of these rivers had their paths artificially planned and constructed in anticipation of the returning rains to provide sources of water to the towns and villages of the Western plains. Some were also designed to feed into reservoir lakes to provide reliable water during the drier season of the year.
The Great Western River itself was designed to provide a source of plentiful hydroelectric power.
