The city of Equinopolis is divided into districts, many of them for specific purposes or segments of the population. '''Uptown''': The business district of Equinopolis. All the wealthiest companies have headquarters in and around Uptown, and the Legislative Assembly meets here. '''Zebra Ville''': The northwest part of the city are slums and ghettos where marginalized zebras and donkeys live. Crime is out of control because hardly anyone can afford security. Vigilante groups patrol territories, more often than not preying on their own communities. The Sisterhood of the Moon has a lot of support among the locals for providing some of the only healthcare and food aid that is available. A fair number of demagogues whose allegiance lies with the Zebra Empire hold rallies to blame the rich Ponecian businessponies for their suffering and exploitation. Ponies who do not look like they belong amongst the poor often go missing around these parts. '''Riverside''': South of the Uptown district, and north of the Mane river. The boulevards of Riverside are a scenic location to cool one's hooves among the rows of palm trees on one of the cafe bistros. Located in the north of the district is the Cathedral of Night, the central seat of the Sisterhood of the Moon. '''Dragontown''': East of Uptown lies a neighbourhood inhabited by dragons and a number of species not native to Ponecia. Its architecture and culture have followed in the hoofsteps of other dragon civilizations east of the continent. But the community is secretive and a criminal element lives beneath the surface whose vast influence can only be guessed at. Near to the limits of Uptown lies the Dragoncom headquarters, the largest telecommunications company in Ponecia. '''Oasis''': Wedged between Dragontown and Suppressor Heights, Oasis is a small neighbourhood populated by camels and donkeys. It's ridden with crime and the local camel mob operates a number of establishments which act as a front. The Wellspring Shrine of the Moon was established by the Sisterhood in an effort to help locals disentangle themselves from their criminal past and gain converts. '''Suppressor Heights''': A factory district in the east of the city that is the site of many of the city's inhibitor technology producing companies and robotics facilities. Many of them are subsidiary to the [[ponecia:CyberInitiative|Cyber Initiative]] corporation, who have their headquarters here instead of Uptown, as well as their computer data network Central Consciousness. '''Hinnywood''': A gated community for the richest citizens of Equinopolis. Real estate is at a prime, despite the sprawling mansions and villas. With several country clubs, an observatory, and shopping street catering to high society, only the wealthiest come here to live or for recreation. A security force regulates road access and monitors the airspace above the area. CategoryPonecia
