IRGEN NARA Jiamaka (0072-03-19 - 0094-08-29 AG) was a Yonggan man of the exiled Nara clan. He was the only son of his parents, and served as a retainer for the Aiyin Nara family. He was married but had no children of his own yet.
Death
While guarding the home of a priestess executed by his employers for making politically charged and unfavorable predictions about the new Aiyin Nara khan, he caught an intruder stealing priceless cultural treasures and money from the building. This was the granddaughter of the former Nara khan: Mukushen, who had the previous day fled political violence between the Aiyin family and her own Aisin family.
Jiamaka was a skilled earthbender, and despite Mukushen's reputation as an earthbending prodigy, he attempted to subdue her, accompanied by another Aiyin retainer (his personal friend MOGIYA NARA Wan.) They hoped that their numerical advantage would prove decisive. Fearing that she would be executed if she surrendered to the Aiyin (probably with justification, given that they had murdered several of her relatives and her family's allies) she put up violent resistance. Mukushen subdued Wan, trapping the swordsman in the ground, but Jiamaka proved a more difficult opponent and the earthbender broke out of her attempt to trap him. Though clear to escape, the temporary trapping having slowed him down and cleared her escape path, Mukushen hastily decided she needed more of a headstart on her flight and flung a large stone lintel at him, causing massive trauma and collapsing the exit behind her.
Wan, a witness to the incident, survived (being dug out by Aiyin earthbenders who sensed the battle and arrived a few minutes later), but Jiamaka's injures were swiftly fatal.
