Yu Vu is a legendary sandbender warrior of the Hanwang Desert. The historical Yu Vu probably lived in Kyoshi's Era. He fought incursions by the Abka, the Nara exiles, and even Hao-Ting Dynasty soldiers. He was supposedly killed by an infected arrow wound after fighting off an Abka raid, circumstances recorded in a famous folk ballad of the Hanwang. However, anthropologists note that there is a monument to him in the Xiaoxiquan that says he died there in his old age. It has been proposed as a harmonization that he was already old when he fought off the Abka and managed to make it to Xioxiquan before dying of his wound.
