Background

IcePlant is originally from Sodedjang but has been a member of the Blue Company most of their adult life due to some awkwardness with the positions of some high-ranking close family members in the stratocracy and the difficulty of avoiding favoritism or accusations thereof. The parting was amicable (and something of a relief) to all involved, though, and when on leave they've sometimes returned home to help out with one thing or another, or just to visit. On the job, they uphold the professionalism of the Blue Company, and are on this particular job due to the Blue Company being hired for it. More broadly, they desire to increase their standing in the Company and their personal skills and wealth, currently indefinitely since they're not yet sure when they'll want to retire or what they'd do then. Time for that later, though -- provided they stay alive and in one piece now, but that's something they're trying to do anyway.
