The Crafty Crapaud a sentient, amphibian monster of about 1m height, native to the Dread Dimensions. It is apt to swallow its enemies whole if their size allows it, and its mouth is quite large in relation to its body. It has a long, sticky tongue which facilitates this. (And gives it a bonus to its grappling attempt; a Crafty Crapaud must grapple its prey first in order to swallow it.) These creatures are patient, and will seek out a good place to hide. They use their intelligence to stalk and track prey, and will look for signs of frequent passage of other creatures in determining a hiding place. After making a kill of sentient prey, they usually move to a new location, to avoid retribution.
