• Elite Librarian

Elite Librarian is a pony living in the jungle island compound of the unicorn lich Risen Bones, somewhere Northeast of the Isle of Yore proper. She describes herself as "the daughter of White Eyes, the Master's [i.e. Risen Bones'] apprentice, and Spectacular Librarian, the best librarian Teardrop Island has ever known." She has a coltfriend, Flint Spark. Elite Librarian appears to be unnervingly precocious in unicorn magic and arcana. Her mother left Teardrop Island a long time ago, leaving Elite to be raised by some combination of White Eyes and other members of Risen Bones' Organization.

The party learned that Elite Librarian is the "secret identity" of Princess Nova, and that Elite Librarian's penchant for capes had the functional purpose of concealing her wings from casual observation.

The party also learned that Elite Librarian killed Risen Bones some time ago, and has been impersonating the lich with magical puppetry when required, in order to retain control of RBO.

The party discovered that Elite Librarian is the partial reincarnation of Eldritch Lore, having received a soul graft from her disembodied spirit, who was Risen Bones' master. Contrary to her original plan, Elite differs notably in personality from Eldritch, having accidentally acquired a conscience along with her new body. She does retain Eldritch's memories, which she perceives as being her own memories, even though Eldritch's actions in those memories are often ego-dystonic to her new self. Besides memories, she does retain some other aspects of Eldritch's personality, good and bad - she is goal-oriented, scholarly, likes to eat, is adventuresome, and is willing to engage in power politics. Nontheless, under the influence of the Bearers of Harmony and in particular Emerald Hues, she came to view herself as more of a new person rather than as a modified Eldritch, which helped her to gradually overcome longstanding feelings of guilt associated with Eldritch's actions.

Thanks to a time travel accident, there are now two of her: a younger one original to the universe, and an older one from an alternate universe. Both originally were called "Elite Librarian" and nicknamed Elly, but to spare confusion, they were renamed as follows by the party:

Scion Fleshgrafter attacked Elly shortly thereafter, inflicting an ultimately-terminal degenerative psychic disease on her. Elly spent some decades adventuring with Akasha and some other mutual friends before retiring, ostensibly to write her memoirs. Besides doing that, however, she spent much of her time preparing for a plot to prevent any members of the Dread Pantheon from entering Equus in the future, which she successfully executed in 3359, at the cost of her own life. Elly is buried in a crypt in the Tower of the Curator in Ponyland. (Though, due to having traded bodies with Emerald Hues prior to her death, the body in the crypt is a green unicorn mare rather than her original alicorn body.)

Libby assumed the Princess Nova identity fully during Elly's adventuring years, helping to build and guide the new State of Harmonia in its formative period. Being a biologically-immortal alicorn, she is still alive, and the incumbent Curatrix of Harmonia, in PRPG3. She married Flint Spark, and had two children; they have numerous descendants as of the 37th Century AE.
