A unicorn born in the tumultuous years of Discord's first reign, in 348. Her mother was Stellar Lore, b. 319, daughter of Astral Lore, b. 298 AE. Astral was the founder of the Arcane Helix College of Operative Astronomy, but withdrew from academic life after unexpectedly inheriting the Lore family's feudal estate after the untimely death of her older brother Occult Lore (b. 282). Stellar returned with her mother to the estate where she married and gave birth to Esoteric, her only child.
The Lore family supposedly collaborated with the Discordians after the death of King Galaxy in 320. Esoteric was born into this tumultuous time, and even named her eldest son Chaotic Lore. The stigma of their status as collaborators hampered the family's social prospects for generations, though they were heavily entrenched in local politics and retained their holdings.
