The Innominate Curacy is one of the Curacies of the magico-legal system. It is notable for having only two constituent sconces, the fewest of any curacy. These are the Capital Sconce, having jurisdiction over the capital of Harmonia, New Ponylon, and its suburbs, and the titular Sconce of the Nameless Desert, which has jurisdiction over the Nameless Desert, largely uninhabited except for the Curatrix's compound.
The Innominate Curacy has no regular procurator, as the Curatrix rules it directly. (At times when the Curatrix is away, she appoints an archmage of her choice as procurator extraordinary to exercise her duties in relation to the Innominate Curacy; conventionally the archmage of the Sconce of the Nameless Desert is temporarily elevated, to avoid disrupting the function of a working sconce.) The function of the Innominate Curacy was largely to prevent controversy over which curacy the Curatrix would be ordinarily resident in, without the need of a procurator to represent her, as this would obviously convey a privileged status on that region, which was seen as unfair by the founders of Harmonia.
The Innominate Curacy has many of its offices in New Ponylon for the sake of convenience (where they are an enclave of the Sconce of the Nameless Desert within the Capital Sconce), but its official location is the Tower of the Curatrix, in the Nameless Desert. A high-speed rail link connects the tower with New Ponylon.
