The Prosperity Town McMansion Museum is a historic house museum in Prosperity Town, in the Bay Region. The Trainer's mother is on its board of directors, and sometimes works there during the evening shift. It has a staff of several maintenance and docent mons, a hyper-realistic dogmon, and a number of human historical reenactors.

The titular McMansion has been laboriously restored to its original early twenty-first century condition, including the removal of several nearby buildings that had been built after Enclosure and which encroached on the historic structure. It had a vintage twenty-first century air conditioning system, though that broke in 2228.

Several attempts were made to grow a period-correct "lawn" (a sort of small private parkland covered with frequently-trimmed grass plants that are visually similar to ordinary polymer turf, and which actually inspired the appearance and texture of that material.) However, they were ultimately unsuccessful, and conventional polymer turf was installed instead.

The museum houses, in its expansive "three-car" garage, a model-year 2029 "Sport Utility Vehicle." It was donated in non-working condition. Attempts were made to operate it using a synthetic light hydrocarbon product, but they were not successful, and its inoperable engine was replaced with an electric motor. Once a month, on "SUV Day," the museum operates the vehicle as an excursion tour, driving it on a short course of appropriate roads in Prosperity Town. The occasional qualified guest is allowed to drive the vehicle by prior arrangement, though usually it is driven by a mon as its original self-driving software is non-functional - the licensing servers that would authorize it no longer exist.

The museum is free to the public. Its human staff and historical reenactors are all volunteers who operate it for personal fulfillment or social status. Its expenses (e.g. mon licensing fees) are supported by an endowment by the infoTronics Group, private donations from visitors and community members, and gift shop sales.
