New Equestria is a constitutional monarchy in the northwest of the Isle of Yore. Its climate is wet enough for drylands agriculture (290-550mm annual precipitation in most areas), making it distinct from the Dusts in that regard; it is also known for a lake near the capital, the largest body of water on the Isle of Yore and an enduring mystery to scholars. Its capital is New Canterlot. The state is divided into civil parishes; the capital's actual level of control over New Equestria's northern regions only approaches its claims of full sovereignty there.
