Sunshine Abbey is the former location of a cenobitic monastic community just southeast of Sunshine, established in the early Dark Age. They were dedicated to the same proto-Overseen beliefs that were widespread in the town of Sunshine.
The order held out determinedly against the encroachment of the crystal forest for a while, but finally collapsed and became defunct at about the same time as the nearby town. The monastery grounds, structures, and building contents were largely left intact and not ransacked or looted, owing to their sudden abandonment just before being rapidly covered in crystal forest. Like the town, the abbey was mostly forgotten to later Dark Ages history.
