• Willow Wand

Willow Wand was a great-great-great-great aunt of Everwood Wand, and an ancestor of the Hues line From Tourmaline Hues onward by secretly fathering a foal with Obsidian Hues via temporary sex-changing magic.

Life

Willow was born to the Wand House, a family of mostly unicorns notable for intermittently (though not always consistently) producing members with magicality on par with the Hues, the other most regionally notable line of highly magical little ponies. Willow was one of these high-performers, and attended Radiance Magic College and then the Crooked Tower. After graduating, Willow worked in various positions as a wizard. She died in 3221, after her magical life extension abilities reached their comfortable limits and she stopped using them.

Relationship with Obsidian Hues

Willow and Obsidian met at Radiance Magic College, and became lifelong friends. Their friendship was close but platonic.

When Obsidian decided to seek ideal genes for the next step in furthering her family's selective breeding goals, she discovered Willow to be an ideal option and proposed a pragmatic exchange whereby she would provide Willow with a very rare and valuable magic book if Willow agreed to help her conceive a foal through the use of an experimental mare-to-stallion spell. Willow agreed and Obsidian became pregnant. Their arrangement was kept highly secret, and the identity of the foal's father was never seriously suspected by those not already in the know, but a few ponies did notice and wonder about the curiously strong fondness Willow had for Obsidian's foal.
