An ancient, ruined city in what is now the Nameless Desert in the former territory of the Kingdom of Ponyland. It was abandoned by the Classical Period. It was once the capital of the nation of Ponylonia, one of the first great pony civilizations in the early Pre-Classical era. Ponylon itself was inhabited from ca. 1700 - 450 BE. The great mathemetician Fillitas flourished there late in its history. Ponylonia is thought to have fallen to strife following the desertification of much of its territory.
In New Ponylon is built nearby in the 35th century, not in the ruins of ancient Ponylon, to avoid disturbing the ruins.
